It seems that spring is here to stay. Yahoo! The sunshine and warmth were welcomed. Just a reminder that Friday is our last early release day. The kids will be dismissed at 12:15. My mom’s surgery went well. She is recovering in Minnesota with my dad and thank goodness the correct jaw.

MathPlease have your child continue to practice facts on Mobymax every day for 5 minutes. We are continuing to review and quiz on all of the math areas we have covered this year.

Writing:  The biography final drafts are underway and should be completed this week. A note will come home next week explaining the work that will need to be done to prepare your child for the Biography Museum we will be having on Monday, June 4.

Spelling: Unit 34 will focus on compound words such as: teaspoon, rattlesnake, watermellon

This will be our last spelling unit. You can find your child’s word list on Spelling City:https: //www.spellingcity.com/users/MrsFlory207

Social Studies:  Thank you for helping your child study for the CDV test. They all did well! Social studies is now complete for the year.

Science: The next science unit is WEATHER. We will take a look at clouds, winds, and types of severe weather. This is a pilot for science this year so there will not be any tests.

Reading: Our final reading unit will be a social issues unit. The kids will be reading a chapter book called “The Jacket” and working through a packet that will show them how we think and act has an effect on the people we come in contact with every day.

Have the Best Week Ever,

Mrs. Flory
